Indexes and Databases

These electronic databases are licensed by Fogler Library.  Access is limited to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Maine.  Many of these databases provide access to journal article citations and abstracts, with some full text. Check with a librarian for further assistance.

Foundation Directory Online Professional	The Foundation Directory Online Professional provides information on U.S. grantmakers and their grants. Includes 80,000 detailed funder profiles for foundations, corporate giving programs, and donors; over 359,000 trustee, officer, and donor names; program details and application guidelines; charts depicting grant distributions by subject, geographic, and demographic focus; searching across over 250,000 Form 990 entries; and foundation news, requests for proposals, publications, and job postings. Updated weekly. University of Maine faculty and staff considering foundation funding must read and review all of the documents provided by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at: Guidance and Policy.
