Indexes and Databases

These electronic databases are licensed by Fogler Library.  Access is limited to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Maine.  Many of these databases provide access to journal article citations and abstracts, with some full text. Check with a librarian for further assistance.

JSTOR	JSTOR is a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. JSTOR's moving wall policy for its journal archives means there is often a gap from 1-10 years between the most recently published issue and the date of the most recent issue available in JSTOR. The Current Scholarship Collection provides current journal subscriptions from several academic publishers. Books at JSTOR provides scholarly e-book monographs from a variety of university and other presses. Available JSTOR content varies by library. Bangor Public Library subscribes to Public Library Collection I & II, and selected e-books. Maine State Library subscribes to selected e-books. The University of Maine [Orono] subscribes to Arts & Sciences I - XV and Life Sciences, Ireland Collection, selected Current Scholarship Collection journals, and selected e-books. The University of Maine at Augusta subscribes to Arts & Sciences I, III, VII, VIII, and selected e-books. The University of Maine at Farmington subscribes to Arts & Sciences I, II, III, IV and V; and selected e-books. The University of Maine at Fort Kent subscribes to selected Current Scholarship Collection journals, and selected e-books. The University of Maine at Machias subscribes to Arts & Sciences I & II, and selected e-books. The University of Maine at Presque Isle subscribes to Arts & Sciences II, and selected e-books. The University of Southern Maine subscribes to Arts & Sciences I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII; Music; Mathematics & Statistics; selected Current Scholarship Collection journals; and selected e-books.
