Indexes and Databases

These electronic databases are licensed by Fogler Library.  Access is limited to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Maine.  Many of these databases provide access to journal article citations and abstracts, with some full text. Check with a librarian for further assistance.

bioRxive	bioRxiv is a free online archive for unpublished preprints in all aspects of the the life sciences. It is operated by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a not-for-profit research and educational institution. Articles are not peer-reviewed, edited, or typeset, however all submissions have been screened for non-scientific content and are checked for plagiarism. If a preprint found in bioRxiv has been published in a journal, it will include a link to the published version. Authors are welcome to post preprints in order to make their findings immediately available to the scientific community, as well as receive feedback on draft manuscripts before they are submitted to a journal.
